ABC7/WJLA-TV (7News) is an ABC Television affiliate owned and operated by Sinclair Broadcast Group. The network is based in Washington, D.C. and provides news, weather, traffic, sports and other programming to the metropolitan area.
Good Morning Washington (GMW) is a morning news program on WJLA-TV that includes sponsored segments, in addition to its lifestyle segments, like Small Business Spotlight, Around Town, Around the World, Road Trippin', Celebs and Special Guests, Health-Fitness-Beauty, Planning Your Future.
Michaela served as an intern for ABC7's Good Morning Washington from June to August 2024, where she played a pivotal role in creating over 16 segments and writing 40 articles. Throughout the summer, she excelled in producing and scripting segments, designing graphics under tight deadlines and booking guests. Michaela researched chat topics for the show introductions, pitched engaging segment ideas, and assisted field reporters, hosts and producers in segment planning and execution. During her internship, Michaela also became proficient in several software programs, including AVID iNews, Axis, Cloud UX and Storyline.
